From May 19th until the end of August, the Belgrade Tourist Organization is organizing free guided tours for Belgrade residents and guests under the title "Belgrade Guide - every story hides a secret".
The tours are varied, and visitors can choose between walking and panoramic tours according to their preferences and the parts of the city they want to visit and get to know better.
On Mondays, Belgrade guides will tell the story of Kosancicev venac, which was the social, cultural and commercial center of Belgrade in the 19th century, together with Kralja Petra Street, where the main institutions of the then new Serbian state were located. Walking tours of Kosancicev venac start at 18:00, with a limit of 30 people, and meeting point is in front of the Tourist Information Center at Knez Mihailova Street 56.
Every Wednesday, a panoramic city tour by tourist bus is available, taking guests past the most important tourist sites and attractions in Belgrade. Departures are from the marked tourist stop on Terazije, in front of the Terazije Fountain at 18:00. Due to the limited number of seats on the bus, there is a limit of 27 people, and it is necessary to arrive at the meeting place 15 minutes early.
Friday is reserved for the Belgrade Fortress and Kalemegdan Park, which together form the largest open-air museum and one of the most visited tourist attractions in Belgrade. The Belgrade Fortress, one of the best-preserved and largest fortifications in Europe, built at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, is the historical core of the city around which today's Belgrade developed. In 1979, it was declared a Cultural Monument of Exceptional Importance. Departures are at 18:00, in front of the Tourist Information Center at Knez Mihailova Street 56.
All tours are in Serbian, and registration is required by calling +381 11 2635343.
